Source Code Leak Reveals Key Specs of the Rumored Meizu Pro 7
After a long time, a new Meizu Pro 7 leak has hit the web. The folks over at GizChina.it have accessed some source code that seems to contain a few key specs of the Meizu Pro 7.
According to the source code, the Meizu Pro 7 is going to be powered by the deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 SoC under the hood. In case you aren’t aware, the Helio X30 is MediaTek’s new flagship chip for 2017 and is manufactured on a 10nm process. In terms of performance, the Helio X30 is expected to be a massive improvement over previous flagship MediaTek SoCs. However, it remains to be seen if it can match the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Samsung Exynos 8 8895 octa-core chips in terms of benchmark performance. The chipset integrates the IMG PowerVR 7ZTP-MT4 GPU clocked at 800 MHz, a much more powerful solution compared to what we have seen on the Helio X25 and X20 SoCs.
Rest of the specs remain a complete mystery, so all we can do is wait for more leaks to pour in before Meizu makes the smartphone official. Going by a leaked Meizu roadmap for 2017 that had been leaked online late last year, the Pro 7 is likely to be announced sometime next month
